John & Teesie Murphy took ownership of the pub in 1995. John is well known in traditional music circles for his harmonica playing. The Murphys, Phil, John and Pip recorded a seminal album of harmonica music with Claddagh Records just before Phil's passing in 1994.

Colfer's has played host to countless top artists including Tommy Emmanuel, Flook, Albert Lee & Hogan's Heroes, The Alison Brown Quartet, Eric Bogle, Colin Haye from Men at Work and many many more...
